“I began work on 'The Sun Goes Down' on January 16th 2009…but just 7 days later I was suddenly diagnosed with breast cancer.
I really thought this was the end of my ‘Philo’!”

Following two operations in February, Lindsay then began chemotherapy on 26th March, & finally completed this drawing on
8th April 2009, just one week before her next chemo' session!

"It has really helped having Phil looking back at me to 'talk' to throughout the beginning of this my difficult journey.
I chatted to him every time I drew…& it made me smile".

On completion & framing of this drawing...it was then driven from West Sussex to Ireland & delivered by hand by Lindsay's husband Taz & fellow artist Greg Hart - along with Greg's work...in a 27 hour round trip!!

I was inspired & 'massively' encouraged to create this piece, by my good friend Greg Hart - one of the worlds leading & most amazing, accomplished & exciting acrylics artists!

It was Gregs unwavering enthusiasm, loyal support & ceaseless encouragement that really drove my determination to complete this drawing despite the massive hurdles that I had to face throughout!
Thank you Greg!
