Giant caravan mural!
On a freezing cold windy April 2008 day in Swanage (Dorset, England) ...I had the sudden urge to paint my caravan!
Scroll down & watch the progress of this painting...
All this white.....hmmmmmm!
A quick trip to the Swanage paint shop...
Can you tell what it is yet?
"...oooooh!"
A useful seaside bucket!
...oh for a blue window!
Shadows making it very difficult to 'see'!
Here come the gulls...
Gloves on....brrrrr!
Thats all for April!....
...Sunny May 2008....& I'm back again to paint more gulls!
(You can tell it's British summer painting
weather...as my gloves are off!)
These two chaps were painted in first on Wed 28th May...
...followed the next day by this swooping beauty on Thursday 29th May
Four new gulls but already the week is over!!
...but I'll be back in August to add more life to the ol' caravan!
Thanks for watching...more pictures here in September!
August came...
along with the rain......
..but that didnt stop me!
Soooooo - I noticed that the front was...
too white!!!
...& we cant have that!!
....3 to start with...
And then I thought they could do with something to stand on..
My friend Martyn!
This is my close friend Martyn, who came
to have a look at my paintings!
Martyn & I are great 'fans' of each other &
he tells me brilliant stuff about his toys &
the plans he has for thier games!
He's so cool!
For the old stone wall I used a mixture of black & white & added a little 'muddy' yellow!
I also painted the plastic handes to look like 'old iron'.
..including fake screws!
Sadly thats all I had time for this visit....although there was just one more addition...
Some old fishing net that i found at Kimmeridge bay....& some seaweed!
This artwork...along with the whole caravan...
is now for sale!
